This zip is compressed with BZip2 (with 900Kb dictionary size), which gave the best compression results of anything I tried on this.

(Well fine, brotli was actually significantly better, but I can't go asking people to download a custom version of 7-Zip to extract this :P)

Data originally from the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM)
This is the global dataset, sampled at 1 arc-second with no smoothing applied or anything, so there's a decent amount of artifacts that you'll have to work around yourself.
